BAX 3000

What is the BAX 3000?

The BAX 300 is an automated system, consisting of multiple components, which allow licensed healthcare providers to provide a unique form of relaxation training.  The BAX 3000 consists of a Digital Conductance Meter which measures skin conductivity, and a computer system which contains various audio/video stimuli, and displays, prints, and records testing results.

The BAX 3000 software houses 100,000+ environmental substances, in an audio/visual format, which are presented to the patient to elicit autonomic nervous system responses. The DCM measures these responses, via galvanic skin resistance readings, during each individual audio/visual substance exposure. The list of environmental substances includes foods, heavy metals, toxins, chemicals, inhalants, pollens, grasses, phenolics and much more. In fact, just about any substance capable of affecting wellness is in the library. The BAX 3000 relies on the known relationship between electrical conduction and the autonomic nervous system and can be quite effective in helping a practitioner to design a unique Substance-Specific Relaxation Training protocol for each patient. The BAX 3000 is a valuable piece of the puzzle for practitioners whose long term goal is to reduce symptoms related to conditions that are, at their core, Autonomic Nervous System Mediated Responses.

Substance Specific galvanic skin resistance (Stress) MEASUREMENT- The purpose of the BAX 3000 is to relieve stress, First by providing data showing levels of stress in the ANS, and second, allowing those levels to be reduced with relaxation training. The BAX 3000 is unique because it provides this information in the context of a substance. As an example, if a person is allergic, sensitive or intolerant to milk, there will be an increase in stress of the Autonomic Nervous System. Likewise, the presence of the word “milk”, or frequency imitating “milk”, will cause an increase in stress of the Autonomic Nervous System, if for no other reason than the mere thought of a substance that causes the person to be ill causes anxiety.

The BAX 3000 is NOT meant to diagnose an allergy, sensitivity or any condition at all. Rather, the DCM is measuring Galvanic Skin Resistance during the presentation of the Audio/Visual substance stimuli housed in the software.

Substance Specific Relaxation training (Stress-Reduction) Strategy- The use of Galvanic Skin Resistance technology to assess anxiety is not controversial because of the known relationship between electrical conduction and the Autonomic Nervous System. Nor is the relationship between stress and allergies, migraines and a host of health conditions controversial. BAX 3000 providers, via the relaxation training techniques they offer, are able to provide clients with the general health-related benefits of stress reduction, as well as some very condition-specific benefits as well.

Substance Specific Relaxation training (Stress-Reduction) & allergies- Certain conditions are, by definition, the result of an inappropriate reaction to a harmless substance. Allergies, for example, are caused by a hyper-reaction of the Autonomic Nervous System, which triggers an immune system reaction. BAX 3000 providers use Relaxation Training strategies geared towards a specific substance, the goal is to train the ANS to respond in a relaxed way (Not overreact, or hyper react) by introducing the “substance”, which is housed on the software, during relaxation training. This process is a combination of positive conditioning and biofeedback, and when the stressful event occurs in the real world the directed relaxation training is “remembered” by the ANS. In this case, the real-world event is substance exposure, and the result may be elimination of the inappropriate reaction to harmless substances.

Recent research has demonstrated that many allergies are caused by the neurological system forming a cause and effect relationship between a substance and a stress (trauma etc), much like Pavlovian conditioning. Other research has shown that if these associations can be broken, by introducing a positive stimulus in conjunction with the specific stress inducing substance, symptoms can be eliminated. The BAX 3000 allows the practitioner to do this quite easily. The relaxation training process, which can be accomplished by anyone of a number of techniques, is a positive stimulus. The production of endorphins, a byproduct of relaxation training, is viewed by the neurological system as positive. When done in conjunction with the presentation of the “substances” in the software, the neurological system associates the two… and old associations are broken. Furthermore, the relaxed state is remembered, and during future exposures, the stressed reaction does not occur. The Provider combines the relaxation training with those “substances” that caused the levels of stress to increase, as measured by raised Galvanic Skin Resistance measurements.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What types of health care practitioners use the BAX-3000?
A: Because the BAX-3000 is a non-invasive therapy it falls under the scope of practice for many types of physicians, including but not limited to MD’s, DC’s, DO’s and Acupuncturists.

Q: Are the allergen frequencies dangerous to the doctor or others who may be present during a diagnostic session?
A: No.

Q: Is this an insurance-reimbursable service?
A: No. Because of the struggles so many of us are having with insurance reimbursement, the BAX-3000 has been designed as a cash ancillary service.

Q: What should patients be charged for this service?
A: Each doctor using the device has a slightly different fee structure with some charging $100- $150 per visit and some charging $1,000-$2000 per case. We will work with you to make it affordable so you can start living an allergy-free life.

Q: How many visits are needed?
A: The number of visits required depends entirely on how many and what types of allergies the patient has. Patients with one allergy will usually require one visit, a patient with multiple allergies may require more. The average number of visits required is 6.  However, some patients require up to 22 visits in order to get the best results.  Doctor Johnson will let you know depending upon the diagnostic test.

Q: How long is a typical visit?
A: The typical first visit lasts between 30-60 minutes.  Subsequent diagnostic visits are 15-30 minutes.  Normal treatment visits is no longer than 15 minutes.

Q: If a patient already knows what he or she is allergic to would I go straight to the treatment?
A: Bio-Allergenix highly recommends that all patients be tested prior to treatment for several reasons. First, the BAX-3000 can determine what specific phenol (component) of the allergen a patient reacts to. By identifying and treating for these phenolics, there is a much higher degree of diagnostic specificity and, therefore, higher clinical success rates. Second, 95% of all allergic reactions do not occur for hours or days after exposure which oftentimes leads to the misidentification of the true culprit. Third, allergies are actually the cause of many of the chronic health conditions people deal with on a daily basis. Unfortunately, most people simply do not make the connection between symptom and allergy, causing the problem to become chronic. Identifying those underlying allergies can help to clear up many of these concerns. Fourth, the cumulative effect on symptom logy that these underlying allergies have can exacerbate the symptoms caused primarily by the known allergy.

Q: When will patients notice an improvement in their allergy symptoms?
A: Most people notice diminishing symptoms after their first or second visit. Individual timetables to symptomatic relief will vary depending on how many allergies the patient has and what those allergies are. There are cases when asymptomatic allergies may require treatment before the primary allergy of complaint is treated. It is not uncommon for the symptoms associated with the allergy of primary complaint to reduce or clear up completely after only asymptomatic allergies are treated.

Q: Does the BAX-3000 cure allergies?
A: Even though all symptoms may be gone, a blood test may still reveal a trace amount of antibodies.  Meaning you no longer get symptoms even though the blood test reveals antibodies.  Antibodies stay in the system, just like the antibodies stay in the system after vaccinations.  Who cares about antibodies if you no longer get the symptoms.

Q: Are there any side effects?
A: No. A small percenage of patients report slight flushing or congestion for a short time (an hour or so) after their session, but this is actually a sign that the body is detoxifying (a good thing)!

Q: Is the BAX-3000 safe for children?
A: Yes, the BAX-3000 is safe for people of all ages.

Q: What allergies can the BAX-3000 identify?
A: The BAX-3000 has 4000 substances in the main procedure allergen libraries and an additional 96,000 substances in the advanced procedures libraries. These substances include almost every substance that could possibly cause an allergic reaction.
